== Overview == [[File:LSV-1 Scarab.jpg|alt=LSV-1 Scarab technical schematics. |thumb|LSV-1 Scarab technical schematics. ]] The LSV-1 Scarab is a survival vehicle designed by the R&D Lab under the control of the Furtive Agency. The LSV-Scarab name comes from the vehicles appearance. It is a crossover vehicle that is simultaneously a SUV and mobile campsite built with renewable energy in mind. LSV-1 has a round, oval-like hull made of titanium and large shatter proof glass that holds the two person living space. This glass is tempered and has nano technology allowing the tint to be raised or lowered to preference. The driving section tapers to a semi-rounded nose. This makes the vehicle seem to have the shape of a scarab beetle. == Specifications == Base models of the LSV-Scarab includes a living quarters that can comfortably house 1-3 people. 4 people in dire circumstances. (Estimations based on the average size of American adults). This living area is designed to provide quick access to any possible necessities while traveling. The rounded hull provides the maximum amount of interior space without sacrificing stability, and adding to the hull strength. === Drive Chassis === LSV-1 has two variants. The first is a triple axel, 6 wheel version for the road. The second is a triangle shaped tank-like tread system for off road. Powering the LSV-1 is an exclusive, high output/high efficiency, hybrid V-10 motor developed by Furtive Co. engineers. A 4000v electric motor is mounted behind the diesel engine and takes over powering the LSV-1 once it reaches 30mph. There are three modes the system allows for. # Pure Diesel mode shuts off electronic assistance and relies on the diesel motor exclusively. # Standard drive mode uses both the diesel engine and 4000v elective motor and has the electronic assist settings turned on by default. # The third mode is a 75/25 electric meaning the primary power for the LSV-1 is electricity; In this mode, the diesel engine activates whenever the terrain becomes rough or the LSV-1 is going up an incline. === The Living Quarters === [[File:LSV-1 Scarab Imagery.jpg|alt=LSV-1 Scarab Imagery|thumb|LSV-1 Scarab Imagery]] The glass surrounding the living quarters is shatter proof and can withstand pressures near to 3000lbs per square inch. The quarters also has ample storage space, the design team having made storage space a requirement of the vehicle during it's development. The living quarters, also called the life pod, sits on top of a hybrid diesel/electric motor, with drive train, triangular treads, and axles mounted on to the base frame. The base frame also houses the wiring for the entire vehicle, therefore, the base frame has been overbuilt to ensure reliability. The frame itself is airtight and the motor can be electrically warmed in severe cold conditions. The living quarters is heated by a separate electrical system and management network. Preventing systems collapse domino effect should the Scarab become compromised. === The Cabin === The cabin compartment is also mounted to the front of the base frame and also has separate power systems that include an active tracking solar panel. The panel sends collected energy into high capacity, high fidelity solid state, rechargeable batteries. Like the living quarters, the cabin compartment is on it's own temperature control system to prevent total loss scenarios. The glass around the entire LSV-1 (LSV Scarab) is all rated bullet proof and certified to withstand any situation possible. The motor itself is protect by layered, titanium plates with Kevlar fabric placed at alternate intervals. The undercarriage is equipped with a repair bay and large item storage that can be accessed from within the living quarters as well. === Scarab Utilities & Capabilities === '''During the preliminary testing phase, the LSV-1 performed well beyond expected levels. Some feats of note are as follows:''' * LSV-1 was able to haul payload of 62,033lbs. Was able to do so from a cold start/stop and accelerate to 50mph in 12 seconds with a maxed out payload capacity, * LSV-1 was able to average 0 - 60mph in 6.2 seconds without any payload. * LSV-1 can operate 340 - 410 hours on a single charge. Maybe longer based on how the power distribution is manually managed. Can be adjusted as needed from the systems panel in the cabin or living quarters. * LSV-1 can be submerged to the depth of 500 meters before critical systems begin to fail. At 750 meters the hull integrity is fully compromised. This will lead to complete systems failure and if the vessel continues to increase it's depth, the hull and compartment will be crushed. * To prevent human errors at any depth, the LSV-1 has a onboard, self contained AI component that will override any manual commands that would take the LSV-1 beyond survivable depths,
